Abstract

Laos is a country located in South Asia, between Burma, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand. Laos is a landlocked country. Laos has a total area of about 236,800 square kilometers (91,428 square miles) and a population estimated at 6.5 millions. The capital of Laos, and its largest city, is Vientiane.

Lao PDR is a developing nation that has seen an expansion in the mining and hydro­power sectors in recent years, both of which have driven economic growth.

Mineral production, as a percentage of Lao GOP, has abruptly increased since gold production began in the Sepon Mine. To 10/06/2015: There are 74 Companies, 77 Contracts 117 activities (producing mines).
